Cotton Garden

“This garden is always distant from us, even though it is within us.”
— Shahrokh Meskoob, A Conversation in the Garden

The gardens of Tajsar Jafari emerge from the boundary between memory and imagination; gardens that no longer exist within an external geography, but continue to live on in memory.
In this colorful world, birds and plants emerge from thread and stitching; as though each strand recalls a fragment of a forgotten image, and each stitch brings it back into the world.
Cotton Garden is not a return to a lost garden, but the re-creation of a garden that still grows within the imagination
